Sunday School Schedule
We have Sunday school classes from September to May for all ages each Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Children’s Classes
We have six different classes for the children. Each class is tailored to the level of understanding and comprehension of the age group. Early on the children are taught the stories of the Bible in chronological order. As the children grow older they are given two years of training in the Baptist Catechism and two years of Systematic Theology. All of the classes emphasize the practical application of God’s word.
The curriculum or studies currently being taught in the children’s classes is as follows:
- 2-3 years old – The Beginner’s Gospel Story by Jared Kennedy
- 4-6 years old – The Gospel Story Bible by Marty Machowski
- Grades 2-3 – Mighty Acts of God (New Testament) by Starr Meade
- Grades 4-6 – Old Testament Survey
- Grades 7-8 – Westminster Shorter Catechism
- Grades 9-10 – Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology
- Grades 11-12 – Gospel of John and Evangelism
Adult Class
General Class
he Adult Sunday School class is a time for us to gather around God’s Word together with open Bibles, humble hearts, and a desire to grow in Christ. We encourage honest questions, careful thinking, and warm discussion as we seek to understand what Scripture says, what it means in its original context, and how it points us to the glory of Christ and the grace of the gospel. Our desire is not merely to gain more knowledge, but to have God’s truth shape our faith, strengthen our worship, deepen our love for one another, and help us walk faithfully with the Lord in everyday life.
Women’s Class
The Rooted Women Sunday School Class, led by two women from RBC, is designed for women at every stage of their faith. Together, we learn how to faithfully study Scripture, grow in our understanding of biblical doctrines, and apply God’s truth with growing confidence, wisdom, and assurance.
