As a church we intend to fulfill the Great Commission that our Lord left for us (Matt. 28:18-20) and see His glory made known over all the earth (Mal. 1:11).
We are involved in local outreach and participate in and support world-wide missions to unreached parts of the world. We train and exhort people to spread the gospel in their day to day lives.
Furthermore, we expect that people will leave our local assembly as they are called by God to go and spread the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have never heard.

Justin & Emily Vander Ark
Justin serves as the Vice President of Advancement and Emily as Communications Assistant at To Every Tribe (TET). TET is a missionary organization that aims to extend the worship of Jesus to every tribe by equipping and sending gospel-driven disciple-makers to serve on cross-cultural church planting teams. TET currently works in Mexico, Ecuador, Papua New Guinea, Czech Republic, and First Nations in Canada. Justin is originally from Kalamazoo, MI and Emily from Tulsa, OK. Kyle & Heather Farran
Kyle serves as the ABWE Regional Director for Western Europe. He and his wife, Heather, come alongside the 90+ ABWE missionaries in Portugal, Spain, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and Italy. Their goal is to facilitate effective ministries for the glory of God by providing Shepherding, Encouragement, Leadership and Resourcing to the missionary families of Western Europe. www.farran.abwe.org
Josh & Katie Frost
Josh & Katie serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Dallas, TX. Josh is actively engaged in research to support oral translation teams around the world and serves as a member of the translation team for the Spoken English Bible. Katie serves as an SIL International Arts Consultant, Advisor for the Psalms: Layer by Layer project (psalms.cdbr.org), and as an Associate Instructor for a variety of courses at DIU. Jonathan & Carolyn Thomas
Jon & Carolyn serve with Cru in New Zealand.
Carolyn joined Cru staff in 2006 and has worked at various locations including East Asia, Sydney, Australia and Carmel, IN. Jonathan joined Cru full-time in 2024. Buddy Stowe
Buddy Stowe was sent out by Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to serve on the northern coast of Honduras in Balfate, Colón. His ministry is centered primarily at El Camino Bilingual School, where he teaches high school mathematics. Beyond his work in the classroom, he serves alongside the school’s teachers and caregivers to mentor, guide, and instruct the children and students. Elizabeth Berry
Elizabeth Berry serves with New England Urban (NEU) Church Planting in Church Falls, RI at Iglesia Cristiana Centrados en el Evangelio, which was officially planted in 2023. NEU exists to plant healthy, Christ-exalting churches in overlooked neighborhoods, bringing the glory of Christ to our forgotten inner cities. Four thousand churches are planted in America every year, but only 2% of those are in poor areas. Elizabeth teaches at a local school and ministers through discipleship, children’s ministry, counseling, and ESL classes in her home.
S.H
S.H. provides pastoral care for over 80 cross-cultural workers serving in Muslim majority countries primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. He comes alongside workers to encourage, counsel, coach and challenge them as they seek to proclaim Christ in cultures that often have not gospel witness and sometimes are openly antagonistic toward Christianity. Face-to-face interactions with workers come through field visits, regional and international conferences, and when workers are in the U.S. on home assignments.
Dael & Abbie Kurti
Dael and Abbie are involved in evangelistic outreach to international students at Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. They facilitate opportunities to share Christ through investigative Bible studies, student activities, integration into community, and English teaching. Dael also equips Christian students to more effectively share the gospel on campus.
Alternatives of Kalamazoo
Alternatives Pregnancy Care Center is a non-profit, faith-based, Christian pro-life ministry, whose primary purpose is to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of all who are involved in pregnancy situations. www.alternativesofkzoo.org
Reach the Forgotten
Reach the Forgotten allows qualified individuals to gain access to the local detention facilities on a regular basis in order to conduct evangelistic services and Bible studies with the inmates. Some of our members are a regular part of this unique ministry. https://jailministry.org/
Juvenile Justice Ministry
Juvenile Justice Ministry is a gospel-centered outreach serving young people at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home and The Ark for Youth, a local teen crisis shelter. The ministry reaches youth through chapel services, small-group Bible studies, and one-on-one mentoring.
Reformed Baptist Church partners in this work by supporting Bill Smith of Youth for Christ through the prayers and financial support of the church family.
